This anonymously published work is the fourth edition of Der aus dem Parnasso ehmals entlauffenen vortrefflichen Köchin... , first published in 1691. A famous German cookery book of the 17th and 18th centuries, it is aimed not at the professional cook but at housewives. It contains numerous receipts, including instructions on how to cut up on ox and a calf. On pp.1049-1080 the author suggests menus for different occasions (e.g. a menu for each month, one for a spring, one for an autumn and one for a winter wedding) and lists the correct place settings for the food.
