His oeuvre is influenced by the work of Alessandro Algardi and François Duquesnoy. One can clearly also recognize the influence of the emotional and formal expressionism of Gian Lorenzo Bernini with whom Ferrata occasionally worked. Ferrata's works are represented in many churches in Rome, Naples and Siena, as well as in Wrocław, where he designed and installed the decorations in the chapel of St. Elizabeth's Church. The small statue is marked by its superior chasing work. Fire-gilded bronze.
