Beschreibung:

H: 136 cm l: 68,5 cm P: 44 cm Rare and exceptional cabinet in moulded and carved pale mahogany opening by a glass door onto glass shelves. Stamped with the artist's monogram and dated 1911. H: 53 in L 27 in D: 17 1/3 in Bibliographie: - Edith Mannoni «Meubles et ensemble style 1900» Editions Charles Massin 1968 page 52. According to documentation about the artist, it is highly possible that very few examples of the Gong made by Jean Dunand still exist. A similar model, with the same sort of decoration but also without a signature, was presented at Sotheby's, in Monaco, on June 23rd 1979.
