Europe.- Continental School.- A large mixed group of mainly French and German interest, with a good group of genre and everyday subjects, including an original bound group of 'Rustic Groups of Figures by Gavarni' published by George Rowney & Co. 1850, a lithographic portrait of Victor Hugo by Motte, and a large mixed group of approx. 45 works after Greuze, Vernet, Aubrey, and many others, with several of carriages and horse drawn transportation, including Middle Eastern subject matter, lithographs, engravings, some printed in colour, some with hand-colouring, several groups bound in original printed wrappers, various papers but mainly cream wove, various sizes, but many approx. 500 x 400 mm. (19 3/4 x 15 3/4 in), occasional spotting, browning and surface dirt, some nicks and tears, all unframed, [mainly 19th century], (Qty.).
