London: for William Crooke, 1684-85. 2 vols., in one, 4to, green morocco, covers panelled in gilt and blind, spine gilt, g.e., by Riviere, upper cover detached, spine darkened, repair to fol. 3F2 effacing about eleven words, small repair to 3K1 affecting 4 or 5 letters, charts on pp. 148 and 155 of vol. 2 shaved, lightly washed . Second Edition in English of vol. 1, First Edition of vol. 2, vol. 1 in 3 parts with 9 engraved portraits and plates (3 folding) and 1 text engraving, vol. 2 with one folding engraved chart (erroneously bound in at front of vol. 1) and 15 engraved maps and charts (14 full-page and one printed on a small folding inserted slip), numerous coastal profiles in the text. Wing E 3896 and 3897; Sabin 23481. The second edition contains an account of the adventures of Captain Cook not included in the first edition.
