A fine record of the results of the Roman fascination with water, and one of the great works on the fountains of Rome. Falda engraved the plates for the first two parts (I: title, d dication and 31 plates, numbered; II: title, dedication and 16 plates [one folding] before numbers), the third part includes contributions from both Falda and Venturini (III: title, dedication and 26 plates [1 folding], numbered), and the fourth part is by Venturini alone (IV: title, dedication and 26 plates [1 folding], numbered).
