Roosevelt, the Presidential Nominee of the Democratic Party, at Chicago, Ill.," photographed close-up standing at the podium on June 30, 1932 making his acceptance speech at the Chicago Stadium and #33198 "Thousands Greeted President and Mrs. Roosevelt at (American) Legion Convention, Administration Bldg., A Century of Progress (Exposition), Oct. 2, 1933." Nice view po a smiling FDR holding onto the arm of James Roosevelt as they exit the building. Smiling Eleanor seen behind him. Burchard noted on verso "Bald headed gentleman to the right of Eleanor Roosevelt is Governor Horner of Illinois." Gray curved mounts. Both with "Ed. Burchard Collection" imprint, penned notations and U.S. stamps affixed tpo versos. Provenance: The Ed Burchard Stereoview Collection Condition: Bright and clear with slight rubbing of mount corners of first view.
