Félix Ziem (French, 1821-1911) Venetian Canal Scene, c. 1890-1900 Signed "Ziem" l.r., identified on a presentation plaque on the frame. Oil on cradled panel, 14 x 20 7/8 in. (35.5 x 53.0 cm), framed. Condition: Minor paint losses, abrasions, small areas of pigment fluorescence, surface grime. N.B. The Association Félix Ziem represented by M. Mathias Art Jan and David Pluskwa, has confirmed the authenticity of this work. It will be reproduced in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné.
