Engraved frontispiece, engraved title, 6 engraved plates of parterres, 39 engraved plates (and an additional 36 plates in duplicate or different state), illustrating plants, gardening, implements etc., after A.M. Variana, Pietro Cortona, Guido Reni and A Sacchi. (Some light browning, a few marginal repairs.) Modern calf. Provenance : purchased from Lathrop C. Harper, 1963. FIRST EDITION IN ITALIAN.
