FILLMORE, MILLARD, President . Carte-de-visite photograph signed twice ("Millard Fillmore") and dated, Buffalo, 22 July 1867. 90 x 61mm. (3 9/16 x 2 3/8 in.) including mount, faintly creased vertically, otherwise very good. A shoulder-length portrait of the elderly former President. Boldly signed on front, beneath the image: "Millard Fillmore 1867" and again on verso: "Millard Fillmore Buffalo, July 22 '67." A VERY RARE SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH. Since 1960, only one other carte-de-visite signed by Fillmore has appeared at auction (the same photograph, signed in 1862, was sold in 1977 and 1980), according to ABPC.
