Lot of 39 photographs, circa 1860s-1920, featuring children posed with their dolls and other toys. 10 are cabinet cards by various studios in places as diverse as Copenhagen, NY, Elwood, IN, Bloomingon, IL, Mankato, MN, Nicollet Island, MN, Orion, OK, Dayton, WA, Albany, OR, Jacksonville, OR, and Salt Lake City. There are also 6 tintypes, 2 real photo postcards, 1 CDV, and 20 mounted albumen and silver gelatin prints of various sizes. While most of the photos show girls with dolls, some of the children display toys including a teddy bear, a stuffed cat, a rocking horse, tea sets, a tricycle, a tricycle shaped like a horse, a toy train, and a cowboy doll in a stroller. There are also photographs of an Asian boy driving an exceptional toy car, a boy with a toy carpenter's set displayed on a small workbench reading Harry, a copyright 1906 Rober Meerum photograph of Santa Claus' Workshop, and a toy store window display featuring dolls of a baseball player, Uncle Sam, a jester, a soldier, et al. A unique collection to say the least. Condition: Most photographs are in very good condition.
