lot of 10, includes 2 cabinet card both with Collins, Huntsville Nebraska imprints and penciled titles along bottom margin, includes one with African-American boys driving an ox cart loaded with logs, pulled by an ox and mule, large group of Caucasian men standing behind first cart and in front of another loaded cart, with other African-Americans at left, entitled Composite Team; PLUS ox cart driven by an older African-American gentleman with painted symbols on side, entitled Clar da trac (clear the track); PLUS 5 boudoir cards by Collins two showing the same group of African-American men and boys on city street with a goat and hand cart loaded with water barrel, these are likely street waterers working to keep down the dust of the dirt streets of the period, one has penciled Ms title Whoa der now; PLUS one entitled Uncle Matts Tandem showing African-Americans on an ox-pulled buckboard, PLUS one entitled A suburban view showing African-American shanty town with goat cart and shack with sign out front Davis Buggies Best In The State; PLUS an untitled image of a large group of African-American children standing next to a road in country setting; PLUS 4 boudoir cards by Hogan Photo, Birmingham from Plantation Scenes, Mississippi Valley Route series, all titled in negatives including A Croppers Home with share croppers picking cotton growing in the yard of their log cabin; PLUS Cutting Sugar Cane with 4 African-American men cutting cane; PLUS On the Levee N.O. with African-American longshoremen unloading wagons of baled cotton, large steam boat in background; AND Picking Cotton in Miss. with African-Americans picking cotton and mounted Caucasian overseer looking on.
