Condition: Lined, patch reinforcement, retouch, varnish discoloration, fine craquelure. N.B. The work at hand was reviewed via photographs by the RKD, who provided the following analysis. The painting is reminiscent of the works of van-balen-i" title="Hendrik van Balen I">Hendrik van Balen the Elder (Flemish, 1575-1632), but the overall style and manner of execution suggest that it was probably created later in the 17th century, or perhaps even in the 18th century.
