Floor standing Biedermeier regulator with quarter hour repeating Grand Sonnerie strike. 11.5 in. porcelain dial signed "Joseph Hubner in Wein", has black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial with correct hands and a quality gilt brass bezel. Brass high quality 8 day weight driven movement with deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, Grand Sonnerie strike which strikes the quarter hour on one coiled gong and then the hour on a second coiled gong, the repeater lever repeating the hour & quarter hour; quality brass 5 spoke pulleys, brass covered weights, excellent gridiron pendulum hanging from a knife edge suspension with a brass bob. In excellent mahogany floor standing case with striped inlays bordering the edges; in very nice condition and original finish, a beautiful, rare and unusual clock. 83.5 in. high x 21 in. wide x 11.5 in. deep.
