Beschreibung:

FLOWN ON APOLLO 12 – 70mm Hasselblad film segment, 1969. Carried on board and to the surface of the Moon on the Intrepid. The segment is taped to an accompanying certificate, issued and signed by Richard W. Underwood, Supervisory Aerospace Technologist at the NASA Manned Space Center in Houston, which reads: " Apollo 12, Film from the Moon. The attached film was carried onboard Apollo 12 during its historic flight to the Moon, November 14-24, 1969. It was carried to the surface of the Moon by Astronauts Charles Conrad and Alan Bean in the Lunar Module “Intrepid” on November 19-20, 1969. ” Certificate SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Alan BEAN and Charles CONRAD. All Hasselblad 70mm film used from the Lunar Module shows images taken while outside on the lunar surface, being magazines V, X, Y, and Z. Thus, it is highly likely that this segment was indeed carried inside a Hasselblad camera used during one of the two EVA's. More magazines were carried, but the crew accidentally left several rolls out on the surface and did not return them to Earth. Film segment, 2.75 by 0.25 inches. [With:] Color photolithograph SIGNED, 8 by 10 inches, Alan Bean is shown carrying experiment equipments from Intrepid 's descent stage. Archivally matted to 15.5 by 12.5 inches.
