FOUR METAL INRO edo period (19th century) A two-case inro cast with chrysanthemum, crane and butterfly medallions finished in copper and gilt, with a carnelian ojime and a soft metal basketweave manju netsuke; a soft metal sheath inro cast with three Otsu-e characters, signed Masayuki , enclosing a three-case lacquer inro decorated with fireflies on a fundame ground, signed Kiyokawa Morimitsu , with bead ojime and metal basketweave manju netsuke; a two-case inro chiseled and worked in low relief with "The Clam's Dream," signed Masatsugu , with a soft metal clam-form netsuke and bead ojime; and a sleeve inro applied with a soft metal lobster, fish and squid, enclosing a silver single-case inro inscribed with a leaping carp, with wood Zodiac netsuke and reticulated metal bead ojime--2 3/8, 2 3/8, 2 5/8, and 2¼in.
