Title: Four pairs of bookends made around the world. Author: ** Place: Various places Publisher: Date: [20th cent] Description: Includes: Pair of thin metal bookends. Identical pair consists of a marble carved roundel image of bird, set within metal frame in the middle of decorative circular character. Made in China printed on bottom of each, some signs of repair at roundel and where character meets the base. 6¼ tall with 2½x4¾ base. * Right angle metal bookends with a gold mounted profile figure of a man blowing on a shofar. Carved in the backs of each is the name Dayagi, and Made in Israel. 5" tall with 2½x3½" base. Scuffing to bottom of base and figure. * Two distinct figures of seated elderly men. One man is extending his left hand, his right hand concealed. There is some chipping to the man's hand. The other man holds a cane in his right hand and his left hand rests on his knee. The lower border of the base, and both men's robes and hats are painted with green, red, blue and white paint. Paint rubbed a bit. Made in Japan. 7½" tall with 4x4" base. * Pair of identical metal chairs (Pharaoh's throne?). Ornately decorated and constructed chair, featuring an ancient Egyptian exchange between two figures on the chair's back support, serpent heads poke out from the chair's back and sides, and the forelegs are topped with feline heads. Made in Egypt sticker on back of each. 6¾" tall. They have no base (rest on four legs of the chair), but distance between legs is 3½x3½". Slightly oxidized, a bit of staining. Lot Amendments Condition: Conditions vary from good to very good. Item number: 195892
