Four Qur'an folios Safavid Iran, 17th century Arabic manuscript on paper, 11ll., written in gold alternating with blue and black, gold roundels between verses, green, gold and orange margin between black rules, blue outer rule, divisions of text marked marginally with illuminated medallions, sura headings in gold or white on blue or gold cartouches in illuminated panels - 35.6 x 23.9cm.; 5 Qur'an folios , 9ll., the first, middle and last in large script the remainder in two narrower panels of smaller script, the interstices with gold rosettes, red ruled divisions and margins, sura headings in red, marginal juz' marking in red, Mamluk, 14th century - 31.6 x 23.3cm.; and 8 folios from a manuscript , tafsir ba'd mustalahat ..., Arabic manuscript on European watermarked paper, 25ll. brown maghribi, headings in larger script, North Africa, circa 17th century - 28.5 x 20.4cm.
