Four Unframed Works on Paper with Sailing Themes: Attributed to Albert Goodwin (British, 1845-1932), A Jetty, unsigned, inscribed "From the collection of Albert Goodwin/purchased... 1925" on the reverse, inscribed "Albert Goodwin R.W.S./(1845-1933)" in ink on the front of the mat, titled and attributed in pencil on the back of the mat, watercolor on paper, sheet size 14 x 20 3/8 in.; Continental School, 19th Century, Fishing Vessels in Rough Coastal Waters, monogrammed and dated "WK [overlapping] june/1855" l.r., watercolor on paper, sheet size 12 7/16 x 19 7/8 in.; After Thomas Sewell Robins (British, 1810-1880), Xarifa, Yachting Scene off Cower, Isle of Wight, from Fores's Marine Sketches, plate 1, inscribed in the plate T.S.Robins, Del." l.l. and "J. Harris Sculpt." l.r., titled in the plate l.c., published by Messrs. Fores, London, hand-colored aquatint, plate size 16 1/2 x 20 3/4 in.; George Sheffield (British, 1839-1892), Boats and Wagons on the Beach, signed "G. Sheffield" l.l., sepia on paperboard, 11 x 16 in. Condition: Vessels with tear to u.l. quadrant, foxing, mat burn, laid down on Masonite; Yachting with staining and acid burn to edges of sheet, gently light-struck; Boats with mat burn, taped to window mat.
