Whatman paper with watermark, plate size 5 x 7 in., unmatted, unframed. Condition: Margins over 1 1/4 inches, deckled edges, pencil annotations to lower margin, soiling and fingerprints to margins and verso. Provenance: Descended within the family of the artist. N.B. The lower margin is inscribed "Not final state." It is possible that this is an undocumented trial D impression.
