REPORT OF FRANKLIN'S ELECTRICAL EXPERIMENTS IN FRANKLIN'S OWN NEWSPAPER, FROM THE SUMMER OF THE FAMOUS KITE-FLYING, which was not described by Franklin himself until October 1752. This notice, on p 2, reports on the experiments for drawing lightning with metal rods by the French, in pursuance to Franklin's experiments. Any issue of the Pennsylvania Gazette, Franklin's own newspaper referencing Franklin's most famous discovery is extremely desirable. We find no record of any comparable issue at auction.
