Knoedler & Co., New York Purchased by the Honorable Hugh J. Grant March 18, 1899 In his maturity Frederic Bridgman, an inveterate traveler, broadened his subject matter from the orientalist themes that had earlier occupied him to include figure studies, decorative subjects, and landscapes such as the present work.
