Additional engraved title-page, title printed in red and black with engraved device, full-page portrait of Galileo, initials, head- and tailpieces, numerous diagrams. (Some light dampstaining at start of volume, some heavy spotting towards end, small hole to ccc3 with loss of a few letters.) Contemporary vellum, lettered in manuscript on upper panel and spine, sides centered with arms, label to spine (label chipped, vellum chipped at corners, lower panel lightly spotted).
