A ROYAL BINDING IN THE ROMANTIC STYLE BY THE GREATEST SPANISH BOOKBINDER OF THE 19TH CENTURY. This is one of 12 copies bound in 'the most sumptuous modern style' for 320 Reales per volume (cf. Suárez's bill printed by López Serrano, 1942, p.13), and presumably intended as gifts from the king and queen to other high-ranking mourners. Ferdinand's Queen, Maria Christina, was the daughter of Francis I, of the Two Sicilies.
