Beschreibung:

A very uncommon late war German World War II Heer enlisted Panzer wrap uniform made in black wool, which has been issued and worn, and in excellent plus condition. A Panzer enlisted eagle is sewn on the right breast in the correct manner. It is completely machine sewn with zig-zag stitching, and is original to the wrap. There are no signs of the inside lining having been touched. There are no collar tabs, as this later wrap has the pink "Russian braid" applied directly to the collar. The braid is machine sewn through the collar, and on both the upper left of the left side, and the upper right of the right side are a textbook application of the two "tails" of braid which are through the collar, sewn together, and sewn down to the collar. The correct aluminum Panzer skulls are originally applied directly through the collar, with the three aluminum prongs pushed through and bent over. The braid and skulls are undamaged. Two black pebbled buttons are present on the shoulders, and both appear to be original to the wrap. Each shoulder has the correct shoulder strap loop, but there are no shoulder straps present. The uniform closes via three large black glass buttons and two smaller glass on the right side, with the corresponding button holes on the left flap of the wrap. Two more small black glass buttons are on the edge of the right side with the correct light green rayon retaining loops on the inside left. Both sleeve cuffs are secured with two small black glass buttons as well. All of the buttons appear to be orignal to the wrap, with no extra whole or unusual threads. Two sets of award loops are present on the lower left side, and they appear to be original to the wrap with evidence that badges were worn. an extra loop is present over one of the loop pairs. THere is a nice early Heer medical trade badge with silver bullion edge trim sewn on the lower right sleeve. It appears to have been era tailor applied, and no threads can be sewn on the inside of the sleeve. The interior of the uniform has light grey partial lining with a very faint maker mark (RBNr) on the left side pocket lining. No size markings can be seen. The lining appears to be undamaged with light sweat staining around the armpit, and light stains on the left side of the lining. Both sides of the wrap have four closed belt hook stitch lines, and each belt hook strap on the inside has seven machine sewn hook holes. Each inner side has two black HBT tie straps. CONDITION: A desirable lightly worn late war Panzer wrap jacket with no visible damage or moth holes, and some light staining on the interior lining. Overall excellent plus condition. WZ
