(Islamic & Indian Art, 16th April 2021) TWO LARGE MOROCCAN POTTERY CHARGERS AND A TURQUOISE-GLAZED MONOCHROME POTTERY DISH Morocco, North Africa and Iran, first half 20th century TWO LARGE MOROCCAN POTTERY CHARGERS AND A TURQUOISE-GLAZED MONOCHROME POTTERY DISH Morocco, North Africa and Iran, first half 20th century Comprising two large pottery chargers, of typical shallow rounded shape, resting on a short circular foot, painted in bright yellow, cobalt blue and turquoise outlined in black against a white ground, the decoration comprising a central rosette medallion stemming from a stylised star motif with fleshy palmette leaves, surrounded by geometric motifs, cusped arabesques and dotted pattern either arranged in concentric bands or scattered around the central composition, the largest 45cm diam.; and a turquoise-glazed monochrome dish, of rounded shape, resting on an unglazed circular foot, 32cm high.
