Starts magnificently on pecan nuts, wax polish and sandalwood, all that being rather delicate and certainly not powerful, but it does talk a lot. There's something of the old pre-war Macallans by the same bottlers, especially the huge complexity and elegance. At random, we have also a little motor oil, camphor, new leather, fig liqueur, walnuts, honeydew, old books, tarte tatin, overripe apples..."
