Gobille a P Ache [sic] Royalle An early 20th-Century brass reproduction of a mid 17th-Century armillary sphere, the earthball at the centre with colures, polar, tropic and equatorial rings, the ecliptic band with stamped graduations, names for the houses of the Zodiac, and pictorial representations, the meridian circle with stamped graduations in four quadrants, the horizon stamped with the latitudes and longitudes in degrees and minutes of twelve continental cities and towns, raised on a blauster-turned brass column set into a circular walnut plinth base -- 11in. (27.9cm.) high ; a decorative brass Islamic astronomical/astrological armillary, the 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter celestial globe at the centre with equatorial and ecliptic graduations and decorative constellation figures, surrounded by five rings, alternately turning around the horizontal and vertical axes, each with various astronomical/astrological decorations, with a decorative throne and suspension loop -- 14in.
