Nichols, 1780, pp: [2], lii, 792, [61] & illustrated with 7 fold-out maps engraved after Medieval originals; [2], 822, [61] & illustrated with 2 two-fold engravings, antiquarian and armorial title-page vignettes engraved by James Basire FSA (1730-1802), 19th century quarter-speckled calf over marbled boards, six-compartment spines of gilt raised bands enclosing richly gilt floral sprays and leafy angles, gilt lettering pieces to the second and third-compartments, 4to, [2] Provenance: Charles William Hamilton Sotheby (1820-1887), of Ecton Hall, Northamptonshire; presumably sold at Sotheby's, the Library of Col. H.G. Sotheby, 24 July 1924.
