GRAND DUCHESS ELENA VLADIMIROVNA'S DRESSING TABLE SERVICE MARK OF GUSTAV KELLER, PARIS, LATE 19TH CENTURY Each piece with ribbon-tied reeded border, engraved with initial 'E' below the Imperial Russian crown, comprising: a table-mirror with easel-back; four silver-mounted bottles with pull off covers and internal glass stoppers; four silver-mounted jars; two hair-brushes; two clothes-brushes; a hand mirror; a pair of small candlesticks; a shoe-horn, a nail-file, a glove-stretcher and an oval pin-tray, contained in a fitted brass-bound oak case, labelled 'GUSTAVE KELLER FABRICANT FOURNISSEUR BREVETE DE S.M. LA REINE D'ESPAGNE 22 RUE JOUBERT PARIS' the case 24 in. (61 cm.) wide The initial is that of Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna, Princess Nicholas of Greece (1882-1957), daughter of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovitch of Russia (1847-1909) and mother of Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent. Together with a photograpghic reproduction of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovitch of Russia (1847-1909), inscribed 'The main commander of the Guard Army and St. Petersburg military region, His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich', is also included in this lot.
