GREEK HELLENISTIC GOLD FLORAL WREATH 3rd-2nd century BC A gold wreath comprising: a braided curved rod with a sleeve to each end and trumpet-shaped bud finial, each extending to a twisted wire quadrant with outer loop finial; each quadrant forked to the inner end with leaves and raised buds and flowers; the rod and flowers with granule clusters, four small loops to the forward edge, two sprigs each with two roses and leaves; each rose with a central glass bead; two leaves and one stem with discoid cell and green glass(?) insert. 39 grams, 16cm (6 1/4").
