Beschreibung:

Dealers' lot: These cards are all duplicates of those in the previous lot (4014548). Some are in somewhat rough condition, others are fine, each approx. 2.5 x 3.125 in. G-Men & Heroes of the Law was a popular non-sport card issue from the 1930s, these with copyright 1936. The cards are reminiscent of Dick Tracy cartooning on the front in full color and the accompanying story on the reverse. They involve quite a bit of violence, but have interesting early forensics. Some of the infamous criminals in this group include Pretty Boy Floyd, John Dillinger, Machine-Gun Kelly, Babyface Nelson, Alvin Karpis, and more. Several feature the “Tell-tale Clues” to solve the crime, such as shoe prints, boots, fingerprints, bullets and shells, tire tracks, blood specks, plus clothing and other items. Lot includes: 2, 14 (rough), 21, 25, 29, 33, 36 (2), 42 (2), 55, 59 (4), 60, 63 (5), 65 (2), 66 (2), 72, 74, 77 (2), 81 (2), 86 (3), 87, 89, 91, 92 (2), 93, 96, 97 (2), 98 (4), 103 (2), 104, 109 (2), 111 (4), 112, 114, 117 (3), 119 (3), 120 (2), 123 (4), 125 (3), 126 (2), 128, 129, 131, 132 (3), 135 (6), 139, 142 (2), 147 (2), 151 (2), 158, 162, 166 (2 – one rough), 206 (2). Condition: Not formally graded. Some with serious handling wear, others very good.
