including: three small scorecards for "Travel Bridge" with cartoon bellhop on front; Polack, W.G. Christmas in the Black Belt and other Stories fron the Mission Fields at Home and Abroad. New York: Ernst Kaufmann, circa 1933. Stories of mission successes from Apacheland, China, and other places, including Africa; sheet music, including Carry me Back to Old Virginny, one complete, one partial copy, 1907; chromolithographed cover of Mississippi Mammy, with woman sitting by cabin door; chromolithographed cover of From the South (Negro Dance); center sheet from Ladies' Home Journal, February 1905, with "Oleander, a Negro Love Song," and "A Picture of 'Home, Sweet Home'" stage bill and program from Chicago productions of Porgy and Bess, March 1942 and Monday, Feb. 17, which occurred in 1941 and 1947 (Porgy was played by Todd Duncan in both productions, so 1941 most likely); White Troop Billet from USS Leviathan, U.S. Navy Armed Transport; signed printed photo of G.(loria) O. Smith, the first Miss Black America in 1969; two ads for Cream of Wheat, 8.5 x 12" with Buster and Tige, probably trimmed, and 8.5 x 13" with mother and daughter, both with African American butler/spokesperson for Cream of Wheat; and Literary Digest article on African American candidates, Aug. 30, 1924. Condition: Most in very good condition, other than Troop Billet, which was in a pocket for a period of time.
