Lot of 11 Civil War-period images. An unrelated group of common military portraits featuring a quarter plate tintype of two privates and a woman; five sixth plates; and two ninth plates; plus another double sixth plate of an unknown civilian pair. All of the images are fairly pedestrian and none are identified or armed. The best image is a touching quarter plate view of two teenage soldier-brothers sitting side-by side, their mother standing behind them with an arm on each. Another sixth plate features a disheveled looking young lieutenant. Four of the sixth plate Union cases and both ninth plates are common types but undamaged. Condition: The quarter plate tintype is VG housed in a badly damaged case. The rest of the images are generally in G. condition showing minor mat abrasions and/or tarnish. The six Union cases exhibit typical edge wear.
