Group of Mintons Aesthetic Movement Gilt and Enameled Porcelain Cabinet Plates Last quarter of the 19th century Comprising a set of five ornithological examples, each center depicting various bird species, including a parrot perched on a branch, three birds perched on a bamboo shoot, etc., against a turquoise ground, continuing to a wide white and narrow chevron and foliate decorated turquoise band; and a set of two plates decorated with a monogrammed white center continuing to a faux cloisonne enameled wide border with either flowering peach branches or reserves with swallows and flowering branches, with reticulated rims. Diameter 9 1/2 inches. C
Each appears to be in good condition; no apparent rim chips, flake losses, etc.; some centers with light superficial scratches, not of any consequence; not blacklighted
