Monumental in size and striking in its vivid yellow and burnt sienna hues, the present lot is a stunning example of the artist’s signature aesthetic and truly unique in its subtleties of color, line and texture. The planarity of the color block composition is interrupted by the presence of the artist’s hand, which is visible in the wide, gestural brushstrokes that traverse the wooden support. Untitled is also exemplary of Förg’s unique reliance on wood as a preferred medium.
