Haid (Johann Elias, 1736-1809) The actor Foote in the right as the major of the Westminster Militia, (after Zoffany), mezzotint and etching, a scratch letter proof, on laid paper, platemark 430 x 505 mm. (16 7/8 x 19 7/8 in), sheet with 10 mm. margins to left and right edges, handling creases and surface dirt, even browning, some nicks and tears to edges, unframed, published by John Boydell 1765; together with six other theatre related mezzotints and engravings, including John Finlayson's 'Mr. Foot and Mr. Weston, in the characters of the President & Dr. Last' after Zoffany, Bartolozzi's 'Mr Kemble in the Character of King Richard the Third' after Hamilton, Thomas Lupton's 'Portraits of Mrs Orger, Miss Cubitt, Mr Munden, & Mr Knight' after Clint, and Lupton's 'Blanchard, Liston, and Mathews in the face of Love, Law and Physic' after Clint, and with two engravings after Hogarth by Blake and Dodd entitled 'Beggar's Opera, Act III', and 'The Indian Emperor', various sizes, largest 460 x 590 mm. (18 1/4 x 23 1/4 in), occasional spotting and browning, some surface dirt, all unframed, [mainly 18th century], (7).
