Provenance : Felix Gallagher (18th-century inscriptions on titles, a few marginalia); John V. Stewart (bookplates). First edition in English of Gregory's Astronomiae... elementa (1702), containing the second edition in English of Halley's epochal short treatise on comets, translated from the slightly expanded Latin version published in the 1704-1705 volume of the Philosophical transactions .
