London: Thomas Bennet (and others), 1705. 2 volumes, 2 o (388 x 236 mm). 2 engraved frontispieces, 30 plates and maps, some folding (a few tears at edges occasionally crossing image, some scattered pale spotting). Contemporary panelled calf (rebacked). Provenance : William Bucknall (engraved bookplate). FIRST EDITION. The first edition is very rare; much more frequently seen is the second, revised edition of 1744. cf. Brunet III, 49: "Collection estimée" (1744 edition); Hill p. 138; cf. Lowndes 1002; Sabin 30482.
