(15 5/16 x 9 3/8 in.), contemporary calf, rebacked, corners restored, some repairs to covers, rubbed, small repair to fore-margin of v. 1 title-leaf, short fold break to North Pole map just entering image, Moll world map (v. 2) slightly creased and soiled and with 5-inch tear and upper border shaved catching a letter, tear to lower margin of 1:5B1, a very few other small marginal tears, occasional minor creasing to maps and plates, world map in v. 1 darkened, 1:g1-2 browned, lacking last leaf blank in v. 1 . FIRST EDITION, engraved frontispieces by M. van der Gucht each with four portraits, subscribers' list, 9 folding engraved maps by H. Moll or T. Lamb, including 2 world maps, a North Polar map, and a large folding map of the Americas, 21 engraved plates, 1 folding. Alden & Landis 705/90; Sabin 30482.
