Cubus alphabeticus sanctae Ebraeae linguae. Hamburg: Jacob Wolf, 1588. Hutter’s Hebrew Bible—the earliest production of a Hebrew press in Hamburg. The root letters are printed in thick type, and inflectional letters in hollow type; radical letters are added superscript. The text is bound with Hutter’s Cubus alphabeticus , an ingenious tool for assisting learners of Hebrew. Adams B1235 and H1244; Darlow & Moule 5108. Folio (356 x 239mm). Woodcut charts (some spotting and light browning; light dampstain affecting top margin of some leaves). Modern leather binding; slipcase. Provenance : Latin annotations translating Hebrew text in early hand – The Valmadonna Library.
