FIRST EDITION OF HEMINGWAY'S FIRST BOOK, one of 300 copies printed, containing "Up in Michigan," "Out of Season," and "My Old Man," plus the ten poems. Hanneman Ala. Provenance : A long-time friend of Hemingway's, Jack Cowles, with his gift inscription in ink on front free endpaper: "For Harry Because I Like the way he Talks about Earnest [ sic ] Hemingway, June 18, 1938, Sheridan [Wyoming], G.H., John Cowles."
