Signed in black fountain pen ink to the lower edge ' Victoria RI' and dated 1880. The photograph is noted to rear as being one 'Printed In Carbon For HM The Queen,' as is believed to be one of her personal visiting cards / photographs that were given to those she knew well. The photograph appears to have been trimmed (only the card backing, not the photograph itself), likely to fit the frame. Supplied with an original period carved wooden foliate detailed slip-in frame in which the photograph was displayed. Autographed photographs of Queen Victoria are seldom seen, and are considered rare. Total size of photograph approx; 9.5cm x 6cm.
