(10 1/4 x 6 15/16 in.), late eighteenth-century calf, covers panelled in gilt and blind, edges stained red, rebacked, corners restored, new morocco-backed folding box, upper edge of engraved title just shaved, Aa1 with marginal repair and 3-inch tear affecting text block, perforation to Ccc1 catching a letter, 1 or 2 marginal tears, title soiled, occasional foxing . FIRST EDITION, first issue, with head ornament on title, additional engraved title, folding letterpress table. Grolier Wither to Prior II, 93; Pforzheimer 491; PMM 138. Provenance : Deleted early ownership inscriptions on title and dedication leaf -- Thomas Bunn (or Bonn?), eighteenth-century signature on title.
