(7x4½") later brown cloth, front cover ruled and lettered in gilt, original wrappers bound in. Page numbers 44 through 48 corrected by hand. Copy 'E' of 25 lettered copies printed on Japan Vellum. First Edition, posthumously published, of Verlaine's final collection of poems. The fifteen poems in this volume center on homosexual love and were intended as a companion piece to Verlaine's "Femmes" (1890). The final poem in the collection, 'Sonnet du trou-du-cul', was written in collaboration with Arthur Rimbaud. Rare. Lot Amendments Condition: A touch of wear to cloth; small ink name at head of front wrapper; some light finger soiling; near fine. Item number: 212089
