Very early for a Hawaiian phone directory: not noted in OCLC, which fails to note any earlier than 1940. There are special instructions for telephone service in the Hawaiian countryside: "To get a Honolulu connection, take down the receiver and say to the responding operator, 'Honolulu, please."
