HORAE B.M.V. (Use of Rome). Horae in laudem Beatissime Virginis Marie secundum consuetudinem insignis ecclesie Romane . Paris: Germain Hardouyn ca.1537 [Almanach for 1537-50]. 16° in 8s (86 x 55mm). Collation: a 8 B-N 8 . 104 leaves, 27 lines. Gothic letter. PRINTED ON VELLUM, calendar in red and black, title with Hardouyn's device, 13 metal cut illustrations, all coloured with liquid gold borders, initials illuminated in gold, red and blue (title slightly rubbed, occasional light soiling to foremargins). 17th-century calf over pasteboard (spine neatly restored at head, covers scratched) Very rare, as are all small Horae published by Hardouyn. Apparently unrecorded, this edition not in Lacombe; Brunet Heures 275 and Bohatta 1177 list a copy with an almanach from 1536.
