First American Edition. The Poetical Works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. xlii, 630 pp. Photographically illustrated with mounted albumen prints by Samuel E. Poulton, additional in-text wood engravings. (8vo) 19.2x13.3 cm (7½x5¼"), finely bound by Mudie in double-ruled calf with ornately gilt-tooled spine, morocco lettering piece, raised bands, all edges marbled, blind-tooled dentelles, marbled endpapers.
