First Pogany trade edition. 4to, original gilt-lettered and illustrated green cloth, gilt-lettered and decorated spine, top edges gilt, other edges untrimmed; corners bumped, light edge wear, occasionally slightly scuffed. Illustrated and decorated throughout, including 20 mounted color plates. Light to moderate foxing to front and back matter, other scattered light foxing. * (Austen, John, illustrator.) Byron, Lord George Gordon Don Juan. New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, (1926). First American edition thus. Tall 8vo, gilt-lettered, stamped pictorial cream cloth, gilt-lettered and decorated spine, fore and bottom edges untrimmed; some dust smudging, small dampstain at top edges, light wear at spine ends, slightly cocked. Full page and text illustrations. Free endpapers browned, but internally generally clean. * (Austen, John, illustrator.) Disraeli the Younger. The Infernal Marriage.
