Engraved illustrations thoughout. 8vo, full crushed deep green morocco by kelly & sons with elaborate borders on covers of intertwining leaves of light green calf and blue calf flower onlays, red berries, and gilt birds in flight, motifs repeated in 4 spine compartments, gilt lettering in 2, and gilt dots along raised bands; elaborate Kelliegram style doublures of town scene at front, church and graveyard on rear, surrounded by same border motifs, gilt-bordered green silk moire endleaves; all edges gilt; felt-lined, 1/4 green morocco clamshell box, by MacDonald bindery, gilt-lettered on spine.
